Shir Chadash Conservative Congregation was formed in July of 1999 with the merging of Tikvat Shalom and Chevra Thilim. Together these two congregations bring rich histories of over 165 years to create a union full of promise, strength and new beginnings. The name of this union “Shir Chadash” appropriately means a new song. Shir Chadash prides itself on its strong Sisterhood, Men’s Club, religious school, and youth groups. The congregation strongly emphasizes multi-generational Jewish education. Additionally, Shabbat morning youth services are offered where the children pray together, learn about the weekly Torah portion, and experience Shabbat within a community of their peers.
