Torah Academy, affiliated with Chabad and open to Jewish children of all backgrounds, is a Jewish day school located on West Esplanade in Metairie for grades pre-K (beginning with children aged 2) through eighth. The curriculum includes general and Judaic studies taught by state-approved teachers. The goal of Torah Academy is to develop the whole child by providing a quality education that will promote Jewish values and observances, academic achievement, love of learning, life skills and the ability to pursue the profession of one’s choice. Individual attention and participation are the keystones of its program. Parents, teachers, and students work together as a team in an atmosphere of respect, joy, wonder, and cooperation.
