Celebrate Israel's 75th birthday with an amazing concert by Gili Yalo and delicious Israeli foods.
Prior to the concert the Jewish Clergy Council of New Orleans will lead a Yom Ha'Zikaron ceremony honoring those who have fallen during the wars and acts of terrorism since the birth of the State of Israel.

The music made by Gili Yalo embodies his own personal story: Gili and his family were part of 'Operation Moses', the covert evacuation of Ethiopian Jews from Sudan in 1984. Together with his family, Gili Yalo made this perilous trip, walked through the desert towards the "Promised Land" and sang to his loved ones. In the course of this exhausting and emotional journey, the music encouraged Gili and his family to keep moving.
