Please join the Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans and the local Jewish community for a Father's Day Social Action Event on the afternoon of Sunday, June 16! The Humana "Nourish" Program: Presented by Metairie Bank and the Federation kicks off its 2019 schedule of volunteer initiatives with light service projects in Central City to benefit the New Orleans Women and Children's Shelter. A dinner and concert will follow, with music provided by Matt Lemmler!

All volunteers will receive a FREE Nourish T-shirt! There is programming available for kids ages 4 and up, which will run concurrently with adult service projects.

3:00-5:00 p.m. Landscaping and cleaning for the adults AND arts/crafts/sports for kids
5:00 p.m. Pizza party and jazz concert in honor of Father's Day

In conjunction with the Father's Day Social Action Event, a collection drive for NEW twin bedding accessories (sheet sets, blankets, comforters, and zippered mattress covers) will take place in the week leading up to the event, with items to be donated to clients of the Women and Children's Shelter. From Sunday, June 9 through Friday, June 14, collection boxes will be located in the lobbies of the Uptown JCC and the Goldring-Woldenberg Jewish Community Campus in Metairie.
