The Jewish Community Day School (JCDS) is gearing up to celebrate 21 Fabulous Years with its annual gala on Sunday, November 13 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Congregation Gates of Prayer (4000 West Esplanade Avenue, Metairie). This Vegas-style evening will honor Lis and Hugo Kahn. Now that JCDS is 21, it is of age to truly have fun and play games, Vegas Style! The evening will be packed with gaming, delicious kosher food, music, prizes and an open bar. There will be Black Jack, Craps, Poker, and Roulette tables, plus exciting raffles and an evening-ending series of progressive drawings for phenomenal prizes. The gala's honorary Co-Chairs are Dr. Michael Wasserman and wife, Lynne and Carole Neff with husband, Richard. Barbara Kaplinsky serves as Gala Chair. There will be an extensive silent auction rich in jewelry, children’s art, and trips spanning the world brought to JCDS by AmFund – Airfare and deluxe accommodations to: Sedona, Argentina, Tuscany, New York City, Monte Carlo and Venice, Israel, Costa Rica, China, and Jackson Hole, WY.
