Jon D. Levenson is Albert A. List Professor of Jewish Studies at Harvard University. His work centers on the interpretation of the Hebrew Bible and the ways in which it has been understood over the centuries. He brings to his studies a particular interest in philosophical and theological issues and in the relationship of Judaism and Christianity. His book Resurrection and the Restoration of Israel: The Ultimate Victory of the God of Life (Yale 2006) won a National Jewish Book Award.
