Chabad Lubavitch of Louisiana has two branches, Chabad House Uptown and Chabad Center of Metairie. On location uptown there is a synagogue, mikvah, and bookstore. Chabad also has a women’s organization, N’shei Chabad, and children’s programs, including summer camp. Chabad’s community programs include holiday activities (Chanukah at Riverwalk, Grand Purim Feast, Shofar Factory & more), adult education (Project Talmud, Beit Midrash on the Bayou, & more) and social events. They also provide social services including prisoner assistance, hospital and senior citizen visitation and counseling. Chabad House functions as a full service Jewish student center, catering to students from Tulane, Loyola and UNO campuses.
